Michael Fastert, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Legal Officer, joined TIG in June 2007 as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer overseeing all legal and compliance matters of TIG.
In January 2016, Mr. Fastert was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer responsible for assisting the President in collectively overseeing day to day operations of TIG, as well as continued oversight of legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fastert worked for Seward & Kissel LLP representing and advising clients in the formation and distribution of domestic and offshore hedge funds, master-feeder funds and funds of funds pursuant to U.S. federal and state securities law from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Fastert received a B.B.A. in Finance from the College of William & Mary and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
